Search the area you want to explore
The Shops feature in DISCTALE uses Apple Maps search to help you find record shops. Look around your current area or search for the place you are planning to visit. Open a result to decide whether it belongs on your route.
A map result is a starting point, not a live inventory. Before making a special trip, check the shop’s own information for opening hours and contact it about a specific record. DISCTALE does not promise that a nearby shop has a particular release in stock.
Save a place for the next trip
Save shops you want to revisit rather than relying on remembering a name after a long day of digging. A saved location is useful both for a familiar local stop and for a shop you noticed while travelling.
Your finds and the places you visit serve different purposes. Keep records that interest you; save a place when it is the shop itself you want to remember. Neither action means you purchased a record.
Nearby reminders are optional
You can opt into reminders for saved places. They require the location and notification permissions explained by the app, including background location for arrival reminders. Delivery depends on iOS and is not guaranteed at an exact distance or moment.
A reminder asks about your visit. It does not automatically check you in or prove that you went inside. If you prefer to plan manually, use saved places without treating reminders as a requirement for browsing record shops.
Turn the visit into a listening session
Once you are at the racks, start with a sleeve that catches your eye. Identify it, listen when a playable source is available, and keep the discoveries you want to revisit. That connects the place you found with the music you found there.
The beta is still evolving. Use the current build’s controls and permission explanations as the guide, and check the real-use film to see how recognition and listening fit into a dig.
